Janet Christiansen is back for her third RAAM. The Vista resident, who lives about a 20 minute drive from the start line, endured a tough rookie race in 2008, but DNFed in West Virginia. She came back the following year to take second place.
Janet is know for her wry sense of humor. When the RAAM Media 1 van pulled alongside her and an unnamed smart aleck asked her "Can you tell us how to get to Maryland," she responded by pointing eastward and saying, "That way...just keep going that way."
Thanks Janet. We'll see you at Chesapeake Bay.
