One of the highlights of RAAM is riding through Monument Valley. It's wide vistas among huge redrock buttes and spires are one of the USA's greatest scenic treasures. It's been the setting of oh so many western movies and of course the famous Forrest Gump scene -- you know, the part where he realizes that he's done running. Men Solo 60+ leader David Jones won't get to enjoy the scenery this year. We spotted him several miles away from the valley as sunset was approaching. Somehow it's just not as appealing in the dark. See David, if you'd have gone just a little bit faster...
