Prior to the start Leah Goldstein was talking about winning RAAM 2011’s womens division. By the 50 mile mark it was evident that she meant it. She had about ten minutes on her closest rival and was powering every climb. Not even a temporary stop at a road construction site seemed to slow her down—once underway she practically sprinted the next mile and half!
